Renewing a driving permit is paperwork, not training. You do not repeat lessons, you do not sit the IOV test again, and you do not need a certificate of competence. You need the right documents, submitted correctly, and someone to follow the application until the card is printed.

That is what this service is.

What it costs

The arithmetic is worth a moment. Five years costs a little over twice the one-year fee but covers you five times as long, and you pay the processing once instead of five times. Unless money is tight this month, the longer term is almost always the cheaper decision.

What to bring

That is it. We prepare and submit the application, handle the biometrics and photographs where they are required, follow it up with the issuing authority, and tell you the moment the permit is ready to collect.

Driving on an expired permit is an offence. If yours is close to expiry, start the renewal before the date passes rather than after — it is the same process either way, but you avoid driving illegally in the meantime.

My permit has already expired. Is that a problem?

No. We renew expired permits routinely. Bring what you have and we will tell you exactly what applies to your case.

My permit was lost or stolen

That is a replacement rather than a renewal. You will usually need a police report alongside your ID and any record or copy of the lost permit. Call us for a quote, as the requirements depend on the circumstances.

I want to add another vehicle class

That is a licence class upgrade — for example moving from a light vehicle class to a heavier commercial class, or adding a motorcycle. It does require training and a fresh test on the new class. Bring your current permit so we can confirm which classes you already hold and which you are eligible to add.

How long does it take?

The application goes in as soon as your documents are complete. Printing is done by the issuing authority and takes as long as it takes — we follow it up rather than leaving you to wonder.
